1. The short version
Every tool on ImageForgeLab runs as JavaScript inside your browser. When you drop in an image or paste some text, that data is processed by code already downloaded to your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we could not hand it over if we were asked, because we never receive it.
- No account, no sign-up, no email address required.
- No uploads, no temporary copies, no "delete after 24 hours" — nothing is stored at all.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- The only data we keep is an anonymous, aggregate count of visits, which cannot identify you.
2. Your files never leave your device
Image and text tools use standard browser APIs such as the File API, Canvas, WebAssembly and the File System Access API. These read and write data in memory on your own machine.
Concretely, this means:
- When you select a file, it is read by your browser. We are not involved.
- Processing, resizing, conversion and text transformation all happen locally.
- When you click Download, the result is written directly from memory to your device.
- When you close or reload the tab, that memory is reclaimed and the data is gone.
You can verify this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool: you will see no request carrying your file. Our privacy diagram summarises the same idea visually.
A note on remote processing: a small number of tools, such as background removal, download a model file the first time you use them. The model is code, not your data. Once the model is cached by your browser, your image is still processed locally and is still never uploaded.
3. What we collect
We deliberately keep this list short.
| Data | Why | Retention |
| Aggregate visit counts | To know roughly how many people use the site and which tools are popular, so we can prioritise work. | Long-term, non-identifiable |
| Preferred language | Stored in your browser's local storage so the site opens in the language you chose. | Until you clear it |
| Light or dark theme | Stored in your browser's local storage so your choice persists between visits. | Until you clear it |
| Your images and text | Never collected. | Not applicable |
The language and theme settings live in your browser's localStorage, not on our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes them permanently, and nothing is lost.
4. Analytics and advertising
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics that record no cross-site identifiers and build no profile of you. Specifically, we do not:
- Use advertising or remarketing pixels.
- Run third-party trackers, session recorders, heatmaps, or session-replay tools.
- Fingerprint your browser or device.
- Sell, rent or trade any information about you.
Because we run no advertising network, there are no third-party cookies or ad-tech identifiers set on this site.
5. Cookies
ImageForgeLab sets no tracking cookies. If we ever need to set cookies for a feature that cannot work without them, we will ask for your consent first and describe exactly what they are for.
Your language and theme preferences use localStorage, which is a local storage mechanism rather than a cookie and is never transmitted to us.
6. Third-party services
The site is served by a hosting provider that necessarily handles the technical delivery of web pages, in the same way any web host does. Our host may process transient network information such as your IP address in order to serve a response and apply rate limits and abuse protection.
We do not share your file contents with anyone, and we have deliberately chosen tooling that requires us to share nothing about you beyond what is technically unavoidable to deliver a web page.
7. Children's privacy
ImageForgeLab is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to hold about a child either.
8. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or a similar jurisdiction, you hold rights over your personal data. In practice there is very little here, because we hold none of it:
- Access. We hold no personal data to disclose. Your language and theme settings are readable by you, and only you, in your own browser.
- Rectification and erasure. You can change or clear your settings at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
- Portability. Not applicable, as we do not hold your data.
- Objection and restriction. Honoured by default, since we have no basis to process your data in the first place.
- Non-discrimination. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
- "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". We have never sold or shared personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Our use of aggregate analytics does not constitute a "sale" or "share".
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear before it takes effect.
